Aardman Animations to celebrate their 40th Anniversary in Manchester

From the kitchen table to the red carpet the team of Aardman animations have a lot to celebrate as they enter their 40th year and they’ll be doing so at the Manchester Animation Festival. Co-founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton will be making their way to the North West as part of their anniversary year.

Though probably best known for Morph, Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, Aardman favourites are too many to mention, it’s hard to pick a favourite director let alone a favourite film. When we look back at Aardmans back catalogue we find it hard to even a find favourite format, they’ve conquered the all, adverts, short films, feature film and games all packed with an indescribable charm that has captivated audiences worldwide for 40 years. The unique charm of Aardman attracts fans across the globe and is an amalgamation of the team based which has recently expanded overseas opening a New York office.

At this years festival we welcome the people who cultivated that community of directors and animators over 40 years from table top with Morph to the top of the feature film charts, Aardman animations cofounders Mr Peter Lord and David Sproxton.
