Short Film Jury

Karin Vandenrydt

In 2000 Karin joined ANIMA – the Brussels Animation Film Festival, one of the most prominent European animation film festivals. She developed the Flemish speaking branch of the festival and is a member of the selection committee and programme team. She also is a member of the Flemish Film Commission and lecturer Animation History and Contemporary Animation at LUCA – School of Arts in Genk, Belgium.

Rob Munday

Rob co-founded independent film website Directors Notes and he is now Head of Programming at Short of the Week. A proud supporter of British short films, his role sees him watch hundreds of shorts ever year, alongside speaking at events and programming screenings.

Tim Searle

Tim is a passionate animation professional with over 25 years experience. Executive Producer of Animation at CBBC Productions & Executive Producer of Danger Mouse, other credits include Have I Got News For You, I am not an Animal and Warren United.

Industry Excellence Award Jury

Will Cook

Will has worked at Blue Zoo for 8 years. Animating on such projects as Tree Fu Tom, Q Pootle 5 and Digby Dragon. His first director role came on Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small and then Go Jetters. He is currently working on the new series of Numberblocks.

Peter Western

Peter is a Storyboard and layout artist, traditional 2D animator and a Lecturer on animation and storyboarding. His career has spanned over 43 years on feature films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Space Jam and Quest for Camelot in addition to Animation for shorts and TV specials such Academy Award and BAFTA-nominated The Village and Jolly Roger plus storyboards, layouts and animation for The Snowman and the Snowdog. Peter was awarded the Children’s BAFTA Special Award in November 2016.

Mark Oswin

Mark Oswin has been sitting in a room making himself laugh for over 20 years. During that time he’s co-incidentally written and developed for numerous animated and live action shows on the BBC, Channel 4, Paramount and Nickelodeon – including large chunks of Strange Hill High and Danger Mouse.

Kenneth Anderson

Kenneth is a freelance character designer and illustrator who specialises in the creation of fun characters for a variety of mediums. He has worked between games, traditional animation and print media and now works mainly in children's television.
