Kilogramme

Kilogramme is a multi award winning animation production company based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Established since 2005, we produce a wide range of design lead multi media animation, from interstitials, to shorts and adverts for broadcast and online.

Flow

Flow Creative is a multi-award winning creative studio that specializes in animation and motion design.

In it’s first three years Flow has established itself as one of the most exciting agencies around working delivering some high profile campaigns for an impressive roster of national and international clients, and winning sixteen industry awards along the way.

Based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter Flow is a design-led production company that works on a huge variety of content creation including 2D and 3D animation as well as social video campaigns for the likes of BBC Three.

Creativity and collaboration are at the heart of everything Flow does, always working with the best independent designers and creators to push the boundaries to create something truly new and innovative.

Flix Facilities 

Flix recently celebrated its silver anniversary within the Manchester animation sector. From scripting, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation to full video and audio post production; Flix has a talented and experienced team who can bring their expertise to any animation project. From their humble beginnings, Flix now has 3 sites across Manchester, including a state of the art facility at MediaCityUk and has recently opened a facility in Birmingham.

Flix have worked with many UK broadcasters, producers and distributors over the last 25 years, and have collaborated on numerous series including Postman Pat SDS, The Furchester Hotel, Toby’s Travelling Circus and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.  They are thrilled to have designed and produced the animation for the BAFTA award winning BBC children’s series Old Jack’s Boat and Poppies – a Remembrance Day film for CBeebies and CBBC. Flix are delighted to be part of the recent exciting developments in Manchester as it confirms its place as a real centre of excellence for animation and are very much looking forward to being part of that future.

Flipbook Studio

Flipbook is a multi-disciplinary production studio creating great visual stories by fostering a culture that embraces artistic excellence, technical ingenuity, innovation, creativity and collaboration. Founded in Manchester city centre in 2010, the studio has animation and visual effects at its core and specialises in producing content across multiple-platforms and channels for a global client base.

The studio collaborates with TV, Film, Video Games, Advertising and Digital technology companies providing CG and 2D animation, VFX, Immersive and Interactive development. Clients and productions include animations for Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot ad campaignsCadbury’s Marvellous brandKing’s Candy Crush Soda Saga launch campaign, Manchester’s animated Christmas campaigns and a variety of 4D multi-sensory VR experiences for Adidas and the NHL All Stars. TV work includes VFX and CG animation work on ITV miniseries Cilla, Discovery’s Idris Elba: No Limits, CBBC series Ali-A’s Superchargers, Scott and Bailey and a new drama collaboration with CBBC, Netflix and ZDF due for release in the New Year.

Jon Turner

In 2005 Jon co-founded Kilogramme in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The initial idea was to make as much good animation as possible, without getting caught up in budgetary or legal wrangles. This has lead to work with a range of clients from start ups to blue chip as well as several awards.

Simon Partington

Simon Partington has worked in the Manchester animation industry for 16 years. He has contributed to many TV programmes in his career including Postman Pat SDS, Rupert Bear: Follow the Magic, Toby's Travelling Circus, Treasure Champs and The Furchester Hotel. He is also the animation director and designer on the Bafta award-winning BBC children's series, Old Jack's Boat.

Karl Doran is the founder and creative director of Flow Creative. Karl has worked in design and advertising for sixteen years, running his own businesses for ten of those years.

Andrew has worked in Animation and Visual Effects in the North West for 14 years, co-founding Flipbook in 2010 in Manchester city centre. As Managing Director, Andrew’s passion lies in building and developing the studio and its international team of digital artists, directors and producers; as well as ensuring that the high quality work the studio produces is entertaining, diverse and inventive
