Cubic Motion

Cubic Motion creates and deploys advanced computer vision to transform the production and consumption of digital media, a company of 70 internationally-acclaimed computer vision researchers, engineers and a vastly experienced animation production team. Cubic Motion’s innovations include world-leading technologies for precise tracking in markerless video, stereo, and depth data. These methods, already well-known for powering the industry’s leading facial animation services, now bring realtime animation capabilities to creatives and consumers alike.

Brown Bag Films

Brown Bag Films is one of the world’s most exciting, original and successful creative-led animation studios. It’s Manchester studio is situated at The Sharp Project in the North of the city and has been operating since 2015. The studio specialises in creating high quality 2D animation and has been working on brand new series Nella the Princess Knight for Nickelodeon. The studio is currently home to over 60 artists. It’s unique environment has the writers, directors, animators all working under one roof. The company’s trademarked motto ‘We Love Animation™’ is at the heart of everything produced.

Studio Liddell

Founded in 1996 in Manchester, UK, Studio Liddell is a multi award winning and globally renowned, independent creative production studio. Their in-house team of passionate, highly skilled artists, animators, creatives, coders and producers specialise in crafting stunning visual experiences for a discerning client base including international broadcasters and producers such as CBeebies and Nelvana.

They have an efficient, robust production pipeline and are experienced in taking 2D, 3D and live action / CG mix projects from development stage through to final delivery.

Their catalogue of high quality work includes credits on TV shows such as Ranger Rob, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Cloudbabies, Let’s Play, Roary the Racing Car, Fifi and the Flowertots and Mouse & Mole, as well as commercials, cutscene AAA game animation and cross platform VR and AR content.

MacKinnon & Saunders 

Over the last 25 years, Mackinnon & Saunders has been making high quality puppets for kids’ television (including Bob the Builder, Clangers, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Twirlywoos) and created an extraordinary range of characters for films including Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie and Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox. Alongside the puppet-making business, the M&S animation studio produces animation for TV shows including Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Twirlywoos and Postman PatSDS™.

Odd Bug Studio

A Fresh new game development studio based in Manchester UK, founded by three students fresh from Norwich University of the Arts. For the last six months their small team has been working with their publisher Fabrik Games on their first title ‘The Lost Bear’

Factory

Factory is an independent, innovative, multi-genre animation studio working with global clients, broadcasters and partners, delivering world class immersive content to thrill, excite and engage audiences of all ages.

Factory has extensive experience in both multi-genre animation and live action production, delivering visually rich styles that make Factory’s creative content and production values stand out.

The studio celebrated its fifth birthday in 2015, bringing four high profile productions to air including Newzoids (ITV), Clangers (CBeebies), Scream Street (CBBC) and three specials for Disney and Club Penguin. The company has grown exponentially, increasing its workforce from 6 to over 100 highly skilled employees.
