Turned Away

  • Turned Away

It's not about a cake; it's about the right to love, and be who you are.

TURNED AWAY is a commissioned film for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) about David Mullins' and Charlie Craig's fight for LGBTQ rights. In July 2012, they visited Masterpiece Cakeshop, with Charlie's mother, to order a cake for their upcoming wedding reception. The owner refused to serve them, and now five years later, the Supreme Court is hearing their case. The Court's decision will be an important ruling for anti-discrimination laws across the country.
