Michael Smith
Michael is the course leader of the BA(hons) Animation and supervisor on the MA Animation course at Leeds Arts University. Previously, he has developed and run courses in Multimedia, Digital Media and also Film, Games & Animation at Foundation Degree and Honours level. He has been an external examiner and sat on validation panels for numerous institutions over the last two decades and has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the complexities of designing and delivering vocationally driven courses within higher education. Michael’s research interest is focussed on pedagogy, animation education and industry. He has recently had a book chapter published titled, The Industrialisation of Animation Education
