Access Information

Most of the festival takes place at HOME, though we do utilise some other spaces for events throughout the festival. Where possible we try to make sure access requirements are available for all external venues.

Unless stated otherwise, all screenings will either be in English language, subtitled in English or have no dialogue. During the festival we are unable to offer Audio Description or Captioned Subtitles on short or feature films unless stated otherwise. There are three levels to the building, including the ground floor and these are all accessible via a lift. There are accessible toilets on all levels and Gender Neutral Toilets are located on the Ground Floor.

To make advance access bookings, please contact, call the Box Office on 0161 200 1500 or drop into the venue. The below facilities can be booked in advance and tickets collected upon arrival from Box Office:

  • Essential Companion tickets can be arranged for all events
  • Wheelchair spaces – available in all of HOME’s spaces

Unfortunately the upper floor where MAFter Dark is taking place is not accessible for wheelchairs, the lower floor to the bar is accessible.

The bar is all on one level and there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor.

The level where the workshops take place is accessible via lift and there are accessible toilets available.

Black Dog Ballroom is a listed building and requires stairs to enter the building so is not accessible for wheelchair users.
