Booking Terms & Conditions

General Booking T&Cs

  • Tickets and passes cannot be refunded.
  • You must be in your seat 5 minutes before the advertised start time, otherwise it will be given to a passholder.
  • By ordering a ticket, you are confirming that you meet the recommended age rating for the events as provided by the festival.
  • Workshop attendees must be over the age of 18, with the exception of Family Day workshops on Sunday.
  • Proof of ID will be required when purchasing or collecting discounted or concessionary tickets.
  • All purchases are subject to a small booking fee.
  • By ordering a ticket you agree that you will adhere to our Festival’s Code of Conduct, and any clear breach of said Code of Conduct will result in your immediate removal from the festival with no refund.
  • By booking with us you will be added to the MAF mailing list, you can unsubscribe at any point by clicking unsubscribe in the newsletters. Contact may be made directly through our booking system should there be any important information regarding your booking.
  • Should Manchester Animation Festival (MAF) have to postpone or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be notified as soon as possible and refunds will be issued to those who have purchased a ticket individually. There will be no compensation for passholders.
  • By creating an account with Eventive, you agree to the Eventive Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • MAF reserves the right to remove or block anyone using inappropriate, offensive/abusive language or actions from interacting in a live event. Participation in future live events, chats or even passes and tickets to future events may be revoked.
  • You agree to view the MAF website and Eventive website, including all associated features and functionalities, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, or other restrictions on use of the service or content. You agree not to archive, download, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, offer for sale, or use content and information contained on or obtained from or through MAF.

Additional Booking T&Cs for the Online Festival

  • Please ensure that you have the relevant equipment to view the festival before making an online booking. For information on this please see the Audience FAQ.
  • MAF reserves the right to remove or block anyone using inappropriate, offensive/abusive language or actions from interacting in a live event. Participation in future live events, chats or even passes and tickets to future events may be revoked.
  • Once you start watching a programme you have 48 hours to complete your viewing or you will need to purchase another ticket.
  • Only certain online events are available internationally. No films online will be viewable outside of the UK.
  • Online MAF content is for private viewing only and is not to be shared, distributed or viewed in a commercial, public or educational environment.
  • Any unauthorised exhibition of MAF events in an education or cinema premises may be subject to legal action.

Live Drawing Challenge T&Cs

We are Manchester Animation Festival Limited, a limited liability company incorporated in England with company number 09601800, with registered address at Fletchers Mill, Dean Clough, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX3 5AX (“Manchester Animation Festival “). By taking part in the competition, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, then you should not take part in the competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before attending the competition. We recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

1. This competition and all communications within are managed by Manchester Animation Festival.

2. The competition is open to all event ticket holders aged 18 years or over, except Manchester Animation Festival or Adult Swim/WBD employees, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize award.

3. All entries must be submitted during the event according with announced timeframes.

4. To enter, participants must purchase the ticket to the event, attend the event and submit their artwork created during the live drawing challenge in accordance with the announced theme.

5. Incomplete, late, illegal, racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise offensive entries will be discounted, as will any entry that is found to have infringed the intellectual property rights of a third party. You hereby give Manchester Animation Festival and Adult Swim and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use your copyright in your entry for promotion and marketing purposes.

6. The date for participation in the competition is 20:00 BST on 10.11.2025.

7. Up to five (5) winners will be chosen from the Individual Drawing challenge participants by the panel of juries on the day of the event, 10.11.2025.

8. The winner will receive one (1) Adult Swim / Adult Swim IP branded piece of merchandising to be announced on the day of the event before the competition.

9. The winner will be notified by host at the end of the event.

10. The prize will be handed to the winner in person on the day of the event, 10.11.2025.

11. The prize for the winner is non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control, Manchester Animation Festival reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value, or to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the prizes without prior notice.

12. The decision of Manchester Animation Festival regarding any aspect of the winning is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

13. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon attendance. Manchester Animation Festival reserves

the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

14. Manchester Animation Festival reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the event where it becomes necessary to do so.

15. Insofar as is permitted by law, Manchester Animation Festival, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Manchester Animation Festival, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. This does not affect your statutory rights.

16. Personal data supplied during the course of the event will only be processed as set out in Manchester Animation Festival’s Privacy Policy (https://www.manchesteranimationfestival.co.uk/privacy-policy/).

17. The Event Terms and Conditions are incorporated into Manchester Animation Festival’s booking terms and conditions (https://www.manchesteranimationfestival.co.uk/booking-terms-conditions/). In the event of any conflict this Event Terms and Conditions will take precedence.

18. The prize award will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize award submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
