The best animated short films from around the globe playing in competition at MAF. Whether you’re an animation aficionado or this is your first experience beyond the mainstream, let MAF welcome you to the world of animation with our selection of international short films playing in competition.
The winner of the festival’s Short Film Award will be eligible for consideration in the Short Films competition of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules. We are thrilled to to be the only animation-dedicated festival in the UK to hold this honour, and can't wait for you to enjoy these potential Oscar nominations.
