Niya Taylor

Niya Taylor is co-founder and creative director of BlackFrame, and an award-winning live action director. The self-taught director has gained recognition for his music videos for JADE, Myles Smith, Rudimental, BINA and Raelle, with work featured in Wonderland, Notion and Harper’s Bazaar. His films capture essence and sound through powerful symbolism and picturesque imagery, often achieved through his sharp art direction and textured qualities of 16mm film, his preferred medium. Niya’s debut BFI-funded mainstream short film, Beyond The Rush, has been released to widespread acclaim and marks a significant milestone in his promising career. When Niya isn’t filming, he works as a director’s rep at Passion Pictures and Strange Beast.
