
Ken Fountain is an Animation Supervisor at DNEG Animation with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Over the course of his career, Ken has contributed to a wide range of acclaimed animated features and shorts, following his passion for delivering heartfelt performances and character-driven storytelling to life. Most recently, he served as Animation Supervisor on epic feature animation productions including Netflix’s That Christmas, Nimona, and Entergalactic. Before joining DNEG, Ken worked on several award-winning interactive and animated projects. His collaborations with Baobab Studios include Baba Yaga, winner of the 2021 Emmy Award for Best Interactive VR Experience, and Crow: The Legend, which earned four Emmy Awards in 2019 – including Best Interactive VR Experience – and the first-ever Annie Award for Best Virtual Reality Production, receiving the most awards of any animated program or series, traditional or interactive. Earlier in his career, he contributed to Google Spotlight Stories’ Pearl, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short in 2017. Prior to his supervisory roles, Ken worked as Lead Animator on the Annie Award-winning Bonfire and as Animator at DreamWorks Animation, contributing to major studio releases including Puss in Boots, Megamind, and Shrek Forever After. Further credits include The Peanuts Movie, produced at Blue Sky Studios. Drawing on his extensive experience, Ken is recognised for his ability to blend expressive storytelling with technical precision.
