Melissa Allada (she/they) is an Inclusion Partner at the British Film Institute, with a career spanning fashion, government and creative community management.

Working at the intersection of people, culture and creativity, Melissa is passionate about challenging the barriers that prevent people from accessing and thriving within the creative industries. Their work focuses on building more inclusive spaces, amplifying underrepresented voices and turning inclusion from an ambition into meaningful, practical change.

At the BFI, Melissa leads and produces the We Crip Film Festival, a celebration of films created by disabled talent, bringing together filmmakers, audiences and industry to champion disabled creativity and challenge perceptions of disability on screen.
