Manchester Animation Festival

With MAF and the BFI Creative Challenge Fund launching Animation Featured - our feature film development programme, the spotlight is firmly on feature animation.

But if we’re serious about building a thriving and sustainable feature animation sector, our studios need to be ready for the opportunities and the demands that come with it. How can we help studios transition from traditional production models and develop the skills, infrastructure and creative ambition needed to compete in a global feature animation landscape?

And what role can co-productions, development funding and new models of collaboration play in creating a sustainable ecosystem for UK-made feature films? Our expert panel will unpack how we can make feature animation a meaningful part of the UK’s creative future so join us for an essential conversation about building a feature animation industry that is ambitious, resilient and ready for what comes next.
