Join director Ida Melum for an inspiring artist talk as we go behind the scenes on her process that brought the films Night of the Living Dread and Ovary Acting to life. Blending social awkwardness, humour and the chaos of intimate thoughts, Ida’s stop motion films have delighted audiences across the world, including two wins at MAF in the Audience Award Category.

Ida Melum

Ida Melum is an EE BAFTA and BIFA-nominated, Annie and RTS award-winning animation director based in Sweden. Her NFTS graduation film Night of the Living Dread was BAFTA nominated and won over 25 awards. Her most recent short, Ovary-Acting, has so far screened at over 100 festivals, and won the Audience Award at MAF 2025.
