Manchester Animation Festival

Alison Warner is Head of Original Content at Blue Zoo Animation, responsible for growing and exploiting its in-house originals. She also sources original properties across all genres (pre-school, older kids’ content, specials and animated features) from third parties to develop, fund and produce in house. A particular example is Mojo Swoptops. Alison first acquired the rights in 2004, and after an 18-year hiatus it was co-developed and produced with the BBC and has sold to key broadcasters internationally.

She is passionate about animated shows that excite, enhance and entertain children of all ages. She sits on the advisory boards of the Children’s Media Conference and the British Screen Forum, and is Vice Chair of Create Central.
