Andy Wright

Andy is a BFI Certification expert on the UK tax credits (Animation, Film, Videogames, Kids TV, High-end TV) for the industry. He is available to share knowledge to new audiences and producers about UK tax credits and British certification – including official co-production.

Andy has been part of the Certification Unit at the BFI since 2013 when the television tax credits were first introduced, working as the analyst for animation and high-end TV sectors.

After a two-year hiatus as a Project Manager for a BFI led major UK wide archiving project, Andy now heads the television team within the Certification Unit which provides guidance on the tax credits for television and assesses all animation, children’s TV and high-end TV programme applications under the cultural tests and official co-productions.

He works closely with key stakeholders in Government and industry, as well as speaking at events to help promote the creative industry tax credits and to give guidance on the criteria and application process.
