Genevieve Dexter is the Founder & CEO of Serious Kids Ltd.

Genevieve heads up this London based distributor together with Leila Ouledcheikh. The company represents the worldwide rights to a portfolio of high quality I.P’s from Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy Award winning producers as well as upcoming studios. She has worked in the kids IP sector for 35 years and has launched many successful kids programmes into the international market over her career including Operation Ouch!, Team Nuggets, Happy Town, The Sound Collector, The Ghastly Ghoul, Angelo Rules, Total Drama Island and Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter. Most recently the company has begun work on ‘Mog’s Bad Thing’ for Lupus Films and ‘Claudy’ for Miyu. She was also the Executive Producer of ‘Best & Bester’, ‘Tee & Mo’, ‘Messy Goes to Okido’, ‘Horrible Science’, ‘Angelo Rules’ and many more. She is a serial entrepreneur and was also the founder of Cake Entertainment.

Serious Kids, est. 2011, represents a portfolio of high quality I.P’s from Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy Award winning producers as well as upcoming studios. The company’s latest titles include ‘Claudy’ from Miyu Productions, ‘Mog’s Bad Thing’ from Lupus Films, ‘The Sound Collector’ from Eagle vs Bat for CiTV and RAI, ‘Flix by Tomi Ungerer’ from Pictor Productions/Eye Present for RTE and ‘The Ghastly Ghoul’ from Dream Logic/Lupus films for Sky/Kika. These new titles join a select stable of high profile IP including the double BAFTA winner and Emmy nominee, Operation Ouch!, now in its 12th season for CBBC and the Emmy Award winning ‘Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter’ (Studio Ghibli/Astrid Lindgren Company) directed by Goro Miyazaki.
