Will Becher

Will started at Aardman as a teenager on a summer placement, making clay wings for Chicken Run. After graduating he was invited by Nick Park to animate on Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, becoming one of the youngest feature animators in the studio’s history.

Since then he’s been Lead Character Animator on The Pirates! and Shaun the Sheep Movie, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Animation Director on Early Man, and Supervising Animator on Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. His directing debut, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, was nominated for an Academy Award® and a BAFTA.

Will has spent over 25 years at Aardman. Now, as Head of Studio at the Aardman Academy, he’s passing on everything he’s learned to the next generation of animators and filmmakers.
