Manchester Animation Festival

Writer/Director Rory Waudby-Tolley is a filmmaker from London. His RCA graduation film Mr Madila won prizes at Premiere Plans, Flickerfest, and the Royal Television Society, amongst others. Two new Mr Madila shorts were later commissioned by Adult Swim. His film Powerwash (I love you) won the best comedy award at the London Short Film Festival 2021. His latest short I Have A is currently on the festival circuit and won WTF Jury Distinction at Annecy and Audience Award for Best Animation at Palm Springs. As a screenwriter, he has projects in development at Big Talk and Studio Hamburg UK and is currently co-writing projects with Daniel Kaluuya and Nina Gantz. He is an associate lecturer of animation at the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins.
